The rural market in my hometown
The rural market in my hometown in the north part of Guangdong Province is quite different from the supermarket you go everyday in some large cities. The rural market is always so crowded that sometimes you will find yourself faint because you are going to lack of fresh air. The rural market is entered by three gateways that stand next to each other. Some stalls where goods of every conceivable kind are sold are around the gateways, leaving about 2 meters each for throngs of people entering or leaving the market. The din of the stall-holders crying their wares ,of porters clearing a way for themselves by shouting vigorously , and of would be purchasers arguing and bargaining is continuous and makes you dizzy.
Then as you penetrate deeper into the market, you come to the vegetable realm. Always, the terrible smell of rotten vegetable paved on the road will come ...
