The Rise and Fall of the Great Gatsby

Gatsby had, like all of us, his rise and his fall. He was a man full of mystery to the people around him. This mystery sparked rumors of his “falls”, but there were also important rises within his character. He was a selfless man giving to the community around him in the form of his parties. Jay Gatsby was a man with ambition as well; a self made millionaire who followed his dream with an unbelievable devotion. The three qualities that were bearing factors on Gatsby’s rise and fall were his selflessness, devotion and his ambition.

Gatsby was a selfless man who, through his parties, gave to the people of his community, leading to some of his rises and his falls. Jay Gatsby hosted huge, luxurious parties, inviting the nouveaux rich, but never denying anyone else from attending.
