The Renaissance Era

The Renaissance Era, a term used to describe the development of the Western civilization that marked the transition from medieval to modern times. The word ?renaissance? means rebirth. People had a wanting to learn and because of this they ended up contributing greatly to our life today. About every subject benefited from this time, mostly art, science and the fact that they discovered new continents. Art was seen as a branch of knowledge; contributors in this field include Michelangelo, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Raphael. The main man in science was Galileo, along with his many discoveries, he?s sure to stand out in people?s minds as an important man.
Leonardo da Vinci was a man of many talents and was very much ahead of his time. Da Vinci was a musician, an inventor, scientist, a designer of war machines, painter, architect, and sculptor.
