The Reality of The Bill of Rights

The Bill of Rights is an important aspect in society today. The Bill of Rights plays a key role in how we live as individuals. The Bill of Rights sets a standard of living, especially with the implementation of Amendment I. Amendment I states: “Congress, shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievance. Since the establishment of The Bill of Rights (Amendment I), there have been many controversial issues that have arisen. More specifically, issues regarding the reality of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the freedom of the press in our society today.
