The process

The process-of being arrested

When a person finds them self in jail, they didn’t walk themselves in the way one may go to a post office, or fast food restaurant. It’s a process, actually it’s a long drawn out process. It begins with a crime. Some one breaks the law. Lets say the police observed the whole thing happening. They go to apprehend the individual. The individual is searched first to make sure he/she has nothing dangerous on their person that can cause any damage to the arresting officers.

The person is then read their Miranda; which is basically your rights. You know once you’ve been read your Miranda that you‘re going to jail. So the handcuffs are placed on the individuals risk, and the person is put in the back seat of the police car. The first stop is the police station of the patrol car that did the arrest. Once the individual gets to the precinct the officers if they are nice may ask, “do you have anything on you that you want to get rid of b...
