The Pit and the Pendulum

"The Pit and the Pendulum" is a story about a Spaniard who is on trial by the Spanish Inquisition in Toledo, Spain. He is convicted of being a heretic and is sentenced to death. He blacks out from the shock and is placed in a cell. When he wakes up he first thinks he is dead. When his senses finally come back to him he decides to see how big the cell is.
