The Penny

Are pennies that small? The penny looks very small and probably does

not weigh very much either. The standard Lincoln cent weighs forty-eight

grains. The new Lincoln cent weighs thirty-eight and fifty-eight hundredths

a grain. There is another one-cent coin which is nineteen millimeters in

diameter and weighs two and five tenths.

The Lincoln head penny is the most popular. It was first issued on
