The Origin of Labor Day

The Labor Movement objectives are to improve conditions and living standards through global cooperation’s and to establish economics and social stability. One of the labor movement most important functions is to set standards for working condition wages, hours of work, minimum ages for employment, insurance, safety and inspections.
Involved in the labor movement was the, International Labor Organization (ILO), a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN). The UN aim is to make easier and help bring about the improvement of conditions of labor and living standards throughout the world. The ILO was created after World War 1 by the treaty of Versailles as an affiliated agency of the League of Nations in 1919.
