The most important function of education is to develop the personality

As a teacher I am responsible for encouraging my students to open their minds and use their imaginations. As an educator I must learn what types of learning styles each one of my students have, and use appropriate materials in each one of their lesson plans.
I realize that as an educator I will be a role model for my students. As a teacher I must keep in mind that each one of my students comes from a different background and that each student has different needs. One of my goals is to help my students through Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. I am responsible for taking action and making sure that each student in the classroom has his/her basic needs met, which will allow the students to better concentrate and be successful in school.
