The Conflict in The Middle East
Why are people fighting in the middle east? Many people from all over the world do not know why their is fighting there. Israel and Palestine have been fighting for hundreds of years. This fighting is only about 10,000 square miles. The fighting in the middle east has been going on for such a long time that the Palestinians and Israelis have grown such deep hatred for one another that peace is almost not an option (“History of the Israel and Palestine Conflict”).
After World War II, the United Nations gave land to the Jewish people of the world so they could live together in peace. This land, Israel, includes holy places for the Jewish religion and is surrounded by Muslim countries. Palestinian Muslims lived on the land at the time that the United Nations gave it to the Jewish people. Portions of the land given to the Jewish people, or taken over by them when they won wars against Arab states, are also holy for Muslims. Certain porti...
