The Metamorphosis

The relationship between Gregor Samsa and his father in The Metamorphosis has a direct corellation between the relationship with the author of the story, Franz Kafka, and his father. Both men were afraid of their strict, orderly, and uptight fathers. Both Kafka and Samsa also seemed to seek acceptance by their fathers.
