Concept Paper: The Memory Process System
Many of the new facts discovered about the memory process have been made easier, by comparing the modern computer and the human brain. The three major stages that have been identified are the encoding stage, a storage stage, and a retrieval stage.
Encoding is a stage that receives the sensory information in a code; just as computers receive a sensory code from the keyboard. This information is then translated and stored in the memory. Storage, which happens to be the second stage of the memory process...
