When thinking of television or radio people usually do not think about how it could affect life, and living situations. The media shapes, teaches and molds the entire world. This happens because of the way the media shows the current events of today’s world. Many of the things shown on the news seem to happen over and over again. Although many things have effect on the world today media is probably one of the bigger ones.
One of the ways the media affects the world in a negative way is the violence shown on the news or talked about on the radio internet and other things. Bank robbing, murder trials, and police chases are shown on a daily basis to anyone who is watching the television. By watching these types of violence people begin to act on what is seen. Some people actually taking an event from the news and recreating it. Take for example the shootings at high schools.
