Matter refers to anything about us solids, liquids and gases are all made of matter .
Matter itself can be either a purse substance or a mixture. (Substance mixed together in nor constant preporations0-no energy changes usually occur when mixtures form.

Solids-particles are classes to gather owing to a greater force of attraction between particles. E.g.: crystals where groups of atoms occur in regularly repeating solvencies. Polymers are extremely large and long molecules that are formed from numerous smaller molecules.
Liquids:- any collection of particles (atoms/molecules) that has no fixed shape but mountains a fixed volume.
At the surface of a liquid the attractive forces between the particles prevent them from escaping the surface. This fore is called the surface tension it allows drops/beads of liquid to form.
