The Lonely War of a Good Angry Man

After reading this essay, I was able to see both the positive and negative sides to this particular issue concerning Henry Caudill vs. little strip mining in Kentucky. It was very difficult for me to come to a definite agreement with either of these two sides. I can see the purpose of Henry Caudill’s actions against coal mining near his home. Beautiful landscape is destroyed which may have been many people’s home at the time. Also, the people of Kentucky care for their natural scenic home and coal mining basically takes that away from them. ...
