The Last Christmas Carol

On December 5th, 2002, "The Last Christmas Carol" was shown at the Licking County Players' theatre in Newark, Ohio. The play is written by Mr. David Myers and directed by Melvin C. Spring. I attended the production and critiqued the overall performance of it. I enjoy watching and performing in theatrical productions, so I thought this might be a good opportunity to see one. Since I had not done so for awhile, due to school and work, I went to see what it was all about, and review it at the same time.
The play depicts a man (Brodwyn Branson) who directs the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol in a small school production. However, Mr. Branson, who was once a well-known Broadway actor, is displeased every year with the student’s performances. He yells and gets irritated by their acting, but mostly at his assistant Max Plimsoll. She tries her best to show him that the play isn't "that bad," and what the true meaning of Christmas really is.
