The Intercultural aspect of Studying at ISTM/Paris, France

In the spring of 2003 I had a little experience. As a student at the Engineering University College of Copenhagen in the Export Department one is encouraged to spend a semester abroad. Since I have French as a second language, France it was. To be more exact: la Paris.
Paris was chosen over other cities; partly because of its reputation. Who does not want to move to Paris? The city of cities. Well, in the everyday life we could just as well have chosen any other major city in Paris. Or Denmark.
As mentioned the school was situated in Paris or rather the suburbs of Paris. In Noisy-le-Grand, about 20 kilometres from the centre of Paris.
Our residence was 15 minutes by foot from the school. I deliberately put it this way, as the school is the centre of life for the French students. That was one of the biggest cultural differences between school life in France and Denmark. Practically the entire life of a French student evol...
