THE HOBBIThow does the main character, Bilbo Baggins, come across as exceptional, noble and loyal?

The Novel I have chosen for my personal study is the classic “The Hobbit” by J.R.R Tolkien, an author famous for his magnificent fantasy novels. The task I have allocated myself for this novel is “how does the main character, Bilbo Baggins, come across as exceptional, noble and loyal?” The reason I chose this topic is for throughout the novel Biblo is constantly being developed and revealed as a magnificent, noble, loyal and brave character, repeatedly over coming his fears and taking risks in order to help his companions.

In a nutshell, the story is about a group of dwarfs, accompanied by Bilbo, who travel to the ancient dwarf city under “The Lonely Mountain” in order to regain all the wealth and gold plundered and stored in the city by Smaug, an evil dragon. On their journey they encounter many unpredicted dangers and adventures and frequently get into bother which Bilbo and his magical ring often has to save them from.
