The history of an atom

William Crooks Became interested in the vacuum tube in the late 1800’s. His vacuum tube is now called a cathode-ray tube. He found that the vacuum tube gave of the glow. He wasn’t for sure what the green glow was but it named later by J.J Thomson.
Thomson repeated Crooks experiments and found particles in the tube. He discovered that when the particles pass through a magnetic field that the particles bent towards the magnetic field. He named the particles electrons, he found the electrons are smaller then an atom. He received the noble prize in 1906. The prize was for the discovery of the electron. He claimed that the atom was less mass with electrons scattered in it like a blue berry muffin.
Henri Becquerel found more evidence that atoms must have smaller parts. He left a small amount of uranium on top of a photographic plate. The uranium made the plate fog over. He found that the compound...
