Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and Nathaniel Hawthorn’s The Scarlet Letter are two interesting stories. These stories have different characters, settings and themes. Although The Crucible and The Scarlet Letter are two different novels, they both have the same situations, deceit, and outcome.
The Crucible and The Scarlet Letter have similar situations. Both novels have characters caught in a love triangle smothered by a hypocritical Puritan law. Through both stories one can see the revenge that is sought after by the ones who were rejected in the love triangle, Abigail Williams and Roger Chillingworth.
