The Great GatsbyTheme Analysis

F. Scott Fitzgerald, the author of The Great Gatsby; portrays many themes in his novel. To show his themes, and make him more understandable and detectable, he uses many literary devices such as hyperboles understatements, personifications and symbolisms. When I read the book I took note of many of Fitzgerald’s skilled uses of these literary devices and found some themes that he articulates more with them. The one theme I saw as very important and most interesting was the idea that those who live in the past have no future. I am able to support that this theme is shown in the novel and will do so throughout this paper.
