The Great Gatsby

Money, cars, expensive clothing, and extravagant parties; Who would not enjoy a life style like this? For many people this would be a dream come true, but not in the case of James Gats, or better yet Jay Gatsby. In the novel The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby's real dream is to be with his beloved Daisy. She is the whole reason for his existence, he is deadly obsessed over Daisy. There is a twist to the story though, Daisy has a life already going, she is married and has a child with her husband Tom. Tom is a cheating husband, everyone knows about it, but he gets away with it. Through out the novel Gatsby tries to win the attention and love he so desires from Daisy. In pursuing his dream Gatsby affects and changes his life and life style.
In following his dream Gatsby first off changes his life style and way of being to get closer to Daisy. In doing so, Gatsby becomes obsessed with being closer to her that he behaves in strange manners, for example at one ...
