The Grapes of Wrath

The Grapes of Wrath is not only a story of a family that is moving to California and in the process go through many trials and tribulations. This novel represents social injustice in many ways. Social injustice is when people are discriminated against for reasons that are unjust. It reminds me of when people say, “life’s not fair”, once someone is bias towards anything ranging from a group of people to a few individuals, or an organization, and they treat them in an unpleasant way, it’s socially unjust. This is because people aren’t getting the same rights as other people are. An example of this would be when black people were thought of as nothing more than trash, and sold as slaves. This isn’t fair because they are the same as every other human, but because of their race they weren’t accepted.
