The Golden Field

I stopped my bicycle as I saw the beautiful, golden field appear before my eyes. I slowly unhooked the buckle off my purple helmet with stickers all over it, and laid it on the
bumpy road. I left my pretty red bicycle behind, as I carefully walked into the luminous field. Spreading my arms out, I gently brushed the bundles of golden wheat that sprouted all over the vast field. I sighed as I inhaled the warm summer breeze, with the sun shining soothingly on my face and body. I giggled like a little school girl as I plucked bright yellow flowers from it’s home in the soil, that is, until I saw the tree.
Floods of memories sound bombarded my mind as I remembered last summer. This was where I’ve been almost all summer. As I reached the tree, I ran my long, slender fingers against the rough, jagged bark. I loo...
