The Giver


The book of The Giver, Lois Lowry said that Jonas leaving the community caused the last turning point to the community to change. While Jonas kept all the memories from the community, emotions and pain were two main effects that the community didnt have.

There were no such as thing as emotions when Jonas kept all the memories in the community. After memories returned, first, they couldn't feel any feelings because they had to take pills everyday. For example, in the book, it said that taking pills everyday was part of the rules.
