The Gathering Is An Excellent Novel

“The Gathering” does more than just tell a good story”

“A good novel does more than just tell a good story.” Based on this analogy, Isobelle Carmody’s novel, “The Gathering”, is a certain success. The characterization in “The Gathering” is excellent and Carmody deals with several important themes as well. The novel also builds to an exciting climax and is resolved in a satisfying manner. It is for these reasons that The Gathering is a successful novel and does more than just tell a good story.

The characters in “The Gathering” are complex and believable. Carmody is able to develop deep personalities for her characters, who each have their own strengths and weaknesses, history and personality traits. Just as importantly, the characters are realistic and easily identified with.
