2) Reading:

First of all I would try to give a short background on Frankenstein. I’m not sure that the kids today have the same “feelings” about this guy, as maybe I have.
I would try to read the book in shorter sequences for the class. I would read slowly, and translate the main-parts of the story as I read. An important thing is to hold on to the pupils concentration all the way. Maybe a way to do this is to use over-heads from the drawings in the book. This way there would be something for the pupils to hang on to while reading, a change in the settings, and a break in the reading that will give the pupils time to think about what they just heard.
