The Fountainhead

Philosophy demands literature that can support the comprehension of

social views. Without philosophical literature, man cannot begin to understand the

necessary messages behind philosophy. Philosophy and objectivism is symbolized

extraordinarily by the enduring novel, The Fountainhead. Due to the use of forceful

dialogue, Ayn Rand divulges her own feelings about objectivism and her opinions

regarding conformity and independence. The meanings and implications of

several quotes within The Fountainhead correctly portray the essence of

objectivism and encourages the resistance of conformist standards through the

personification of the non-negotiating innovator "standing against the world."
