The following appeared in an article in the health section of a newspaper. "There is a common misconception that university hospitals are better than community or private hospitals. This notion is unfounded, however: the university hospitals in our region

In this argument, the author of the article relies on certain statistical evidences about university hospital's operations, as well as the multiple roles of doctors there, to convince us that private or community hospitals give better health care than university hospitals. Close inspection of these evidences reveal, however, that they provide scant support at best for the author's argument. The argument rests on numerous questionable and vague, incomplete evidences.
