One day not so very long ago but not like last week or anything. One day a substantially long time ago Catherine made a fly that was buzzzin round the classroom her pet. I believe she called it Tony. God knows why, such a wrong name for a fly dontcha think. Percy is a much more appropriate name. Catherine loved this fly, she talked about it to everyone, and even wrote about it in the story we were told to write that day. It landed on the end of my pencil. I didn't notice and accidentally sharpened it to death. I hadn't noticed this of course, and then Catherine came up looking quite pale. What ever was the matter with her I wondered...
