The Fly

Power is a funny thing. Some say that power is given, some say it’s taken. For some it’s earned, bought, learned, or just created. Power is all about realizing you have it and understanding how to use it. It’s the ability or capacity to do something. “The Fly” has two main characters with key power issues.
There a few ways to discuss power issues. Power can be defined as control, dominion, or authority. You can also be under someone’s power. It’s the ability to act, regarded as latent or inherent; the faculty of doing or performing something. There’s a capacity for action or performance; capability of producing an effect, whether physical or moral. These are all possible ideas and explanations of power. Throughout the story each of these ideas is separately explored.
