The Fiber of Life

Divarticular disease affects the colon. This disease increases with age and affects men and women equally. The disease is caused by the lack of fiber in the body. Divarticular disease is more common in North America, Australia, and Europe- places where the typical diet is high in processed foods and low in fiber. Symptoms include diarrhea, constipation, bloating, flatulence, and other colon related conditions. This seemingly contagious disease has an intense treatment plan, yet it is easily prevented by including more fiber in the daily diet.
