The Female Body - Big Birtha or Barbie?

Children today are presented with many sex-specific toys. The roles played by these toys reinforce sexual stereotyping in the children. Barbie Dolls, for one, are the major toys I played with when I was a child, and they are a major stereotype figure. Some reasons I believe why Barbie Dolls are sexually stereotyping to children are because of her beautiful, perfected looks, a stick thin body that everyone wants, the many careers she has, and the fact she ALWAYS has a boyfriend. She can manage to do all of these at the same time without facing any problems and is flawless in whatever she does!
