The evils of pokemon

Res Ipsa Loquitor . . . the thing speaks for itself . . . pokemon, “pocket monsters”, indeed the effect is monstrous. Pokemon has indeed become a worldwide craze grossing over 300 million dollars in sales in the 1st quarter of 1999 alone. 300 million dollars… to what end? This, I aim to answer. It has also spawned many products ranging from comics, TV shows, computer games and cards. Quantity, yes, but quality? I don’t think so. Pokemon is, in my opinion a curse to our youth, some of its evils, I will now point out.

Pokemon, has been the cause of fights among our youth. Because of Pokemon, children have come to blows with each other and bridges that have stood for decades come down with an earth shattering crash. There has even been a case wherein a student stabbed a fellow student over a bad trade. The price of life has been reduced to the price of cards and the value of friendships… to nothing.
