The Divine Command Theory The Divine Command Theory The Divine Command Theory is a theory about the nature of right and wrong. This theory basically says that something which is “morally right” is something that is “commanded by God” and likewise, something which is “morally wrong” is something that is “forbidden by God”. There are, like with any other ethical theory, some major criticisms.
