The Digestive system

Two Clssifications of organs in the digestive system are 1)The Alimentary Canal (aka) the GI Tract and 2)Accessory Digestive Organs.
The GI Tract digests food, breaks it down and abosorbs it into the bloodstream. The organs of the GI tract are the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine and the rectum and anus.
The Accessory digestive oragns produce saliva, bile and digestive enzymes (they assit in the break down of food).
