The Diary

There are many stereotypes of masculinity and femininity presented in the “Diary”, which is written from Adam’s point of view. The stereotypes are shown through Adam and Eve. The woman is portrayed as being overly talkative and bossy. Eve always names everything the way she wants it to be and this upsets Adam, but he cannot do anything about it “I wish it would not talk; it is always talking.” (29) Adam clearly shows his feeling of superiority to Eve as he calls her “It”.
