The Crucible

In the play The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, the people use the devil in many ways. All it takes is telling you saw someone with the devil to have him or her killed. Abigail uses the devil to convict many people in this play. Tituba uses the devil to convict Sarah Good and Goody Osburn. Mr. Hale uses the devil to convict people of witchery also.
Abigail uses the devil to send many to jail. She tells Mr. Hale she “saw Sarah Good with the devil!’ she ‘saw Goody Osburn with the devil!’ she ‘saw Bridget Bishop with the devil!” All it takes is the devils name to condemn someone for life. Abigail is the one who practiced...
