The Constitution vs. The Articles of Confederation

Our country has always had its way of Government and pertaining factors based on a written compellation of the way the country should be run. The first document that the country was run by was called The Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation were instated by Congress, November 15, 1777 and were in effect until March 1, 1781. The Articles of Confederation were then ensued the document that the United States of America have since been established and run by. This document is entitled simply The Constitution of The United States of America, adopted July 2, 1788, but wasn’t in effect until March 4, 1789.
The Articles of Confederation was the first government of the United States. It had a weak central government and the basic democracy was based on State control. Although the states had strong control it didn’t necessarily bring unity to the whole country. In ...
