6. Describe the main character(s)
The main character is Maggie McKinley, she lives in Glasgow and is on holiday at her granny, who lives in a glen in Inverness-shire. Her father is born there, but he moved to Glasgow. She is a student and wants to be an anthropologist. She is fancying James and he likes her to.
Another character is Margaret, she is the grandmother of Maggie. She has lived her whole live near the glen and she can’t imagine a live without it. She hates the city, because she needs space and the glen. She is very old-fashioned.
Then there is also the Fraser family. They have a holidayhouse opposite the house of Maggie’s granny. It are the father and mother, Peter and Elizabeth, who are both teachers and their son James and daugther Catriona.
