The City on the Path to Spiritual Enlightenment
If I had a chance to visit any city in the world I would want to visit a city that is renowned for its spirituality. For this I would almost certainly have to go to the East. I think I would want to go to either Varanasi, India or Kathmandu, Nepal.
These two cities come to mind because many people have traveled to both cities on religious pilgrimages. There is a lot of sight seeing in both cites specially the temples and holy shrines.
In Kathmandu many of these sites are huddled together in a place called Durbar Square some of these include: Kasthamandap dedicated to Gorakhnath, Maju Deval a Shiva temple, Jaganath Temple a place dedicated to the human body and adorned with many erotic carvings. Also, located here is Taleju Temple, probably one of the most beautiful temples in Dunbar, is unfortunately not open to the public.
