The Case for Inequalities in Wages: As compared in Adam Smith’s the wealth of
Nations.
As stated in Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations there are five principles that apply in the various wages that people earn. These principles account for a higher wage in some circumstances and for a lower wage in other circumstances. First there is the agreeableness or disagreeableness of the employment; secondly there is the expense of learning the chosen trade; thirdly is the constancy or inconstancy of the employment; fourthly there is the amount of trust that is placed in certain professionals; and lastly there is the probability or improbability of success in the chosen profession.
