The book gorgias

The book Gorgias had many different aspects and arguments. There were two sides that were taken in this book about rhetoric. Socrates argued many points against rhetoric. Where the other three main characters: Polus, Gorgias and Cacllicles were the defenders of what they believed as rhetoric. Socrates was the main one in this book that was out to put the pressure on these three who believed that rhetoric was not only an art-form but also that rhetoric could be pursued as a profession or as a means of a type of work.
The first point to make is the reveal what is to believed to be one of Socrates's strongest arguments against Gorgias and his colleagues. The strongest point that Socrates makes is on page twenty-five in the text. Socrates says in this part of the text that rhetoric is not a profession because there is no skill required for rhetoric.
