The Black Death

No one was excused as it moved in off the coast of Europe and into its countryside laying down its deadly disease to any bystander that it could get to. Europe had grown socially and economically for about three hundred years preceding this onslaught to the foundation of the twelfth century, but unfortunately many natural disasters, as a result of the plague, put an end to this period. Deficient crops and scarcity was a major problem of this era thanks to the plague. Economies could be said not to be at its best at this point in time, which is in total opposition to the era previous to this one. (Ziegler pg. 4) The Black Death had an enormous effect on almost every aspect of Europe, someway, somehow. Statistics show that it was one of the worst natural disasters recorded in history.
