The Beginning of Time

Our society changes over time, but much of the information which was important in the past, is still in tact today as well, in some cases even more significant. This is shown true in Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave”. Plato’s primary messages still describes our political and physiological matters of today, even though the dialogue of his writing may be complex and difficult to interpret, for language usage has changed over the years.
Plato’s home of Athens, which was once an independent city state with a great deal of power, suffered terrible defeat and humiliation in the Peloponnesian War. Class politics had turned the oligarchs and democrats against each other, making the power of the government constantly changing. In today’s society, we still suffer from disorder and turmoil.
