The Arcles of confederation: folly? or misunderstood?

Did the Articles of Confederation give the inhabitants of the U.S. an optimal form of government in the years from 1781 to 1789, or was it a failure as a legislative guideline? There is a myriad of information to use for these two options, failure and success, but which one was of the correct viewpoint and which of these had the most evidence to support its claim? The cons seem to heavily outweigh the pros in this historical document, therefore leading to the conclusion that the Articles of Confederation were not effective in their task of providing a form of government for the United States of America. There are many documents that suggest people of the U.S. were considerably dissatisfied with the policies of the Articles of Confederacy.
Documents are a key source when looking back to our past. Especially when ones task is to determine the usefulness (or lack thereof) of a certain event or political policy (such as the articles in question). As mentioned above, there seems ...
