The celebration of Thanksgiving has become a permanent part of American culture. Little is known, however, of the hardships the Pilgrims faced before the famous feast. The author used several primary sources by people who lived through the whole experience such as William Bradford and John Smith. Using these documents, the author is able to fill in the space before Thanksgiving with accurate information.
