Sand dunes
SOIL TYPE: Sand, Gypsum soil.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The dune field environment is usually harsh. Plants have had to adapt to being burried by moving dunes as well as living in extreme temperatures. Only about 60 species of plants have found a way to survive through such extreme conditions.

ADAPTATIONS: Some of the wild flowers that grow in these flats are;
1. Centaury which has bright pink flowers
2. Sand Verbena which smells a lot like lilac
3. Stick leaf which has star like flowers
