Textual Analysis of a Short Clip of Film
‘The Fast and the Furious’

The film ‘The Fast and the Furious’ was made in the year 2001, it was directed by Rob Cohen, produced by Neal H Moritz and starred Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Matt Schulze.
In the film a rookie cop (Paul Walker) goes undercover into an illegal street racing team to investigate lorry jacking which had been occurring. He gets himself into the group but then faces the decision of whether to turn in his new friends (lead by Vin Diesels character) or not.
The clip I have chosen is situated just after half way through the film. For this analysis I have have split the clip (which is about 7 minutes in length) in to the 5 main sections.
