Texas Public elementary education Teacher selection

It is up to the public school system to educate our children. In order to do so, they first need educated teachers. Normally a person would go to college into the education program and graduate and become a teacher. In Texas, and several other states, there is such a shortage of teachers that the state is allowing anyone with a bachelor’s degree to take the Emergency Teacher’s Certification class and exam.
The state of Texas requires that all children from the age of 5-18 be enrolled in school. This could be public, private, or home schools. For public schools, funds are mostly tax based with additional funds from the state. These funds are for the building of the schools, as well as the maintenance, all salaries and benefits, and materials need for the education of each student.
Kindergarten through second grade has a maximum 22:1 student teacher ratio. There is no maximum ratio for students in third grade or above. The School Board is responsible for a vast ...
